Sipra teaches from experience. Living a personal discipline that includes yoga, meditation and a healthy diet sets the framework for Sipra's extra-ordinary teaching style. Through years of experience with the body/mind/spirit connection, Sipra is a powerful channel for healing energy in her Reiki practice. Whether she is teaching a yoga class or delivering healing through Reiki, expect results. You will most certainly be rewarded. As a yoga instructor, Sipra is beyond compare; when it comes to Reiki, she is PURE MAGIC!!! S. Bailey
Sometimes I have this nagging pain at the side of my neck, probably as a result of sleeping in the wrong position, and it lasts for several days. Every time this happens I wish I could take away the pain with a magic wand, as this becomes very irritating, especially when I am driving a car and have to check my blind spots.
Once when this happened to me, Sipra was around, and after observing me for several days, asked if I would let her do Reiki on my neck. With a lot of skepticism, I agreed; you see, my life-long physics training does not really let me explain how such procedures cure people of pain.
At the beginning of the procedure, all I could feel was her touching me lightly, and as time progressed, her touch became warmer and warmer till a point came when I could barely stand the heat. Sipra was not doing much, just touching my neck where it hurt the most; in fact, she was hardly applying any pressure at all. When she stopped after some time, I looked around at her, only to realize that the pain was totally gone. I tried moving my neck in many different ways, and there was indeed no pain!
After that incident I am a total believer that Reiki works wonders, and I am very impressed at how efficiently Sipra practices the art. I have also seen Sipra practice yoga and meditation; she is an exceptional yoga and meditation instructor, and I find her incredibly knowledgeable in the subjects. I would strongly recommend her anytime to anyone who might consider learning or practicing any of any of these philosophies. While on vacation I experienced a continuous excruciating pain in one leg, so much so that when I returned home I needed to use wheelchairs at the airports. I was confused about the cause -- could it be a reaction to new medication, could it be a symptom of diabetes, could it be the result of five hours riding in a car twice in a weekend, followed the next weekend by a long cramped plane trip?f
A physician in urgent care suspected a nerve inflammation that he said could take 4-6 weeks to completely return to normal and the treatment would be to reduce the inflammation and pain with medication. One week of medication brought no relief and I was unable to take more than six steps without crying out.
On the eighth day, Sipra stopped by my house and I was on all fours, the only position with the least pain. She stepped on the soles of my feet and asked if that was okay. Yes. She took another step farther up my calf. Was that okay? Yes. Another step farther up. Was that okay? Yes. Gradually I was able to slide flat in a prone position without pain. Later I learned that this was a form of Thai massage. Then she began Reiki, a laying on of hands with healing energy. She focused on my hip and leg. After some 30 minutes or so, s he told me to rest or sleep and left.
I slept peacefully for about an hour and awoke very thirsty. I drank water and stood up without pain hardly believing it. I sat in a chair for a while noticing that the pain of one week was gone! I walked to the next room without pain, drank a cup of tea, then had a good night's rest. The next few days were pain free although I felt a certain clumsiness in my walking. I had some knowledge of Reiki and knew that the healing was ongoing.
I asked Sipra if she would do another Reiki session in three days. This time she devoted a full hour. She first prepared herself and called me into the room. I lay on my back as she placed her hands first on my head and worked her way to my face, neck, shoulders, chest, and so on. I could feel the heat emanating through her hands. During the session I had the intention to receive healing through her and was grateful for it. After she worked her way down to my feet, she asked me to lie on my stomach and she again placed her hands from my head going down to my feet and at different times being drawn to particular places on my back or shoulder. After the session she said I should sleep or rest and then drink plenty of water.
After this session I believed that the healing was continuing and I wanted to cooperate with it. However, I understand the Reiki is effective even if the recipient is skeptical or unaware that someone is doing Reiki for them (such as long distance). And I personally know of such experiences by others.
I knew already that when Sipra is doing a Reiki session she "sees" certain images at different places along the body. Images such as species of birds, animals, human characters expressing emotions, colors. She reported those images to me with the intention that I could interpret them according to the circumstances in my life and that they could give me insights into how I could bring more balance into my life. With the help of a dream dictionary and some knowledge of archetypes, interpreting the images is fascinating and potentially useful. I understood that not all Reiki practitioners see these images and they are not necessary for healing, but they are an added dimension of Sipra's practice.
I report my experience with gratitude for Sipras gift.
