If you want an experienced, caring and extremely knowledgeable Yoga instructor, you want to work with Sipra. She personalizes each session to focus on the needs of each individual. In my case, I have problems in my lower back and tightness between my shoulders. Each session she provides a different combination of poses or stretches to work on these areas. I have found that Yoga has helped me immensely, more so than my medical doctor, chiropractor or physical therapist. I think of my sessions with Sipra as a mix of physical therapy and personal trainer wrapped into one excellent experience. Kathy Gerber
In the seven months that I have been practicing Yoga with Sipra, I've had many positive changes in my life. I've lost 15 pounds while practicing one day a week initially and now two to three times a week. I came into the class with two major health issues, Asthma and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). When I first started, I could not breathe the long, slow breaths that are essential in stress relief and yoga. I now have a much larger lung capacity and may even inquire about stopping my medication. My IBS has improved dramatically as I haven't had as severe cramping or the urgency to find a bathroom like in the past. Beyond physical improvements, my overall attitude has improved because I feel emotionally balanced and less stressed most of the time. Sipra's classes are never the same, so the classes are not boring or repetitive and you leave feeling internally at peace. Angie Lake
This is as good as yoga can possibly get. Sipra is truly a Boddhisatva. While I have studied yoga in Philadelphia and in San Francisco, no yoga teacher has come close to Sipra's mastery of yoga, her teaching ability and the phenomenal results she achieves with her students. Sipra is, without question one of Columbus' greatest treasures. William E. Webster (PhD)
The following is a student's comment following a Yoga class during a serious sinus infection. The student's name is presently withheld, as his permission to publish it was not requested: Thank you for practice tonight. I felt fantastic after practice. What a rush and relief. I still feel much better now than I have in days. More importantly: I'll continue to use the sequences you gave me tonight for the next few days to stay on top of things. And most importantly: I plan to cross surgery off the list. I'm not out of the woods yet, but I feel there is a path.
Closing session comment from 3 students at Westmoor Middle School where the
children did Yoga for a full three months for Health and Well Being, May 2006:
I think it helped me calm down. I also think you should
make a program, so when I'm having a bad day here, I can calm down and settle.
And it also makes me focus on schoolwork and not my friends who distract me.

I like Yoga, it is so fun. I like when we go outside.
Because we can get some fresh air. And the wind is blowing on us. It makes me
feel so good when I do Yoga. It makes me breathe good. It takes my mind off of
every thing. Even the stuff that made me mad. It makes my body feel good. I
think the Yoga makes your spirit feel so good, and you feel better. It takes all
the stress away. And it can make you strong.
Julian.
A good thing is that it helps with my mind. Usually when I
go home I am grouchy but when I do Yoga I am calm. This is a very good thing.
Usually it makes my bones ache, but I am more flexible and stronger. Now I can
do a back flip. I could already do one but now I land on my feet.
