Yoga Well-Being is the frame for Life-in-Balance, the life work
of Sipra Pimputkar
Life-in-Balance, Yoga Well-Being is the healing yoga of Wisdom, Wholeness
and Serenity through yoga practice. Yoga means to Unite - it is philosophy,
spirituality and practice in one, based on interconnectivity of the
body with mind and spirit which is the root of good health.
Sipra Pimputkar has developed a curriculum of tradition
based Yoga asanas (stretches), pranayama (breathing
techniques) and dhyana (meditation), with variations based
on physical therapy that incorporate her years of work and teaching,
'Life in Balance'. These ancient fundamental insights about disease,
health, and wholeness are deeply inherent to her lineage, in philosophy
and practice through generations. Sipra's approach is both traditional
and groundbreaking, as an innovator in her process to understand the
biology of postures, meditation and breathing and help the stressed
body and mind relax, energize and unwind.
These are designed upon principles of fundamental health
within the various systems of the body. The stretches are not complicated
or difficult though they may be challenging. You will learn postures
to specifically heal your body (from small aches to more serious issues
like depression,) breathing and meditation as well as enjoy discussions
for healing through healthful foods and lifestyle habits. Personal attention
from the teacher regarding individual health challenges is supported
by specific postures for specific needs. This is unique to Yoga Well-Being,
and you should notice benefits immediately, regardless of how ‘out
of shape’ you may feel. Daily practice or at least three times
a week will produce sustained benefits.
The following are comments from a student: "If you want an experienced, caring and extremely knowledgeable
Yoga instructor, you want to work with Sipra. She personalizes each
session to focus on the needs of each individual. In my case, I have
problems in my lower back and tightness between my shoulders. Each session
she provides a different combination of poses or stretches to work on
these areas. I have found that Yoga has helped me immensely, more so
than my medical doctor, chiropractor or physical therapist. I think
of my sessions with Sipra as a mix of physical therapy and personal
trainer wrapped into one excellent experience." -Kathy Gerber
Harvey Rayner designed a variation of the above image
of an individual in meditation for Sipra Pimputkar. It is possibly not
the final version because Harvey Rayner intends to work on it when he
is moved to do so sometime in the future. His artwork is phenomenal,
and it will be worth your while spending some meditative moments looking
them over. Please check out this incredible artwork at
